FOUNDING PARTNER

Fabio is the Founder of Growth Capital. Fabio was a Venture Partner from 2015 to 2022 at Eurazeo Investment, one of Europe's leading investment funds with > 30B€ AUM, where he oversaws VC global investments in Smart Cities. Fabio is also an active Business Angel and Growth Engine's founding member.

Previously, he was Senior Advisor of the European Investment Fund (EIF), SVP at Soitec, where he sold the Solar Division after increasing the yearly revenue from ~2M€ to ~45M€, and he founded RenEn Renewable Energy. He has previously worked at McKinsey, ENEL and Russell Reynolds.

Fabio holds an MBA from INSEAD, an M.S. in civil and environmental engineering from the MIT, and a B.S. from Federico II University.

When he is not spending time with outstanding entrepreneurs, Fabio loves to travel the world with his wife Stefania and their two sons, Francesco and Massimo.

Nicolas Chaudron

Nicolas is Senior Advisor for France at Growth Capital. Before becoming an executive coach in 2023, Nicolas spent 25 years as a venture capitalist, first at Europatweb, an internet conglomerate launched by Bernard Arnault, and then at Idinvest Partners, a mid-market European Private Equity manager, where he was a co-founder and a Managing Partner, and that was acquired by Eurazeo in 2021.
Since 2005, Nicolas focused mainly on climate tech companies, living and investing on 3 continents (e.g. Europe: Glovo, Forsee Power, Sunfire; Asia: Grab, Weride, DST; USA: Sunrun, Volta Charging, First Fuel).

He has been a board member of more than 30 companies and played an active role in supporting the entrepreneurs in the growth of their companies, particularly on the organization (key recruitments, governance), the launch of new products, partnerships with large corporates (where he has a strong network), international expansion, and finance (M&A and fundraising). His team was awarded the 2018 Financial Investor of the Year by the Cleantech Group.

Nicolas is an alumnus of the Ecole Normale Supérieure (France) and of the Peking University (China) and is an ICF (International Coaching Federation) accredited coach. He holds a postgraduate degree in mathematics from Paris VI University, an MBA from the Collège des Ingénieurs, and an MBA from the Wharton School (University of Pennsylvania), where he was a Palmer Scholar.

Senior Advisor

As Senior Advisor, Erwin is supporting Growth Capital's efforts in scouting outstanding entrepreneurs and connecting them with visionary investors.

He is involved in relationships building in the firm’s internationalization expansion. He is an entrepreneur, investor, networker and advisor with extensive international cross-sector experience in different phases of the company life cycle. He sees his role as achieving sustainable, positive results through innovation and a high degree of empathy. He believes that lasting success is best achieved by building trust between stakeholders.

Erwin has a Master’s degree in mechanical engineering from RWTH Aachen and holds an MBA degree from INSEAD. As a non-executive Director, he is an active member of several technology, services and non-profit organisations.

Andrea
Zocchi

SENIOR ADVISOR

Graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the Politecnico di Milano, after gaining some professional experience in software development and marketing, he joined McKinsey & Company, Inc. in 1991. There, he provided support to the top management of large Italian and foreign companies operating in various industrial sectors (Consumer Goods, High Tech, Telecommunications, Financial Institutions) on a wide range of issues including strategy, digital, organization, marketing, and sales. e was elected Partner in 1996 and Director in 2003, and became the Leader of the Southern European Consumer Sector. ince the beginning of 2013, he has also been the leader of the Consumer Practice for Eastern Europe, Russia, and the Middle East.

Since 2014, after a period at the General Management of Esselunga, he has been an independent senior advisor for several companies. In 2016, he founded Digitail, where he served as CEO until 2021. Digitail, through the EasyCoop brand, manages the e-commerce grocery service of Coop Alleanza 3.0. From May 2023 to February 2024, he was the CEO of Everli.

He is a member of several Boards of Directors and also teaches at IMT Lucca and other postgraduate courses.

Antonio
Antonuccio

SENIOR ADVISOR

Antonio is Senior Advisor for UAE and the GCC region at Growth Capital. Antonio started his career in Goldman Sachs in London before moving to Management Consulting with Bain, where he spent over ten years working between UK and Italy for the firm’s Telecommunications, Media and Technology practice (TMT).

He relocated to Dubai in 2011 having joined Hewlett Packard and then given the position of COO for a local technology company. After a stretch at Diebold Nixdorf, Antonio re-joined Injazat in 2017 to build the company’s Digital Transformation practice and in 2021 joined AiFlux, a corporate venture focused on the Energy sector as Head of Growth.

In the past years Antonio’s focus has been on helping private enterprises and government entities design and implement transformation journeys through ventures building.

Antonio is an alumnus of Bocconi University (Milan) and holds a Master degree in Business Administration from MIT-Sloan (Boston).

Married with three children, in his free time he enjoys playing padel with friends and walk his dog Kyra.

Poli

SENIOR ADVISOR

Giancarlo is Senior Advisor for Growth Capital in UAE and GCC area.

He has developed his career in the Management Consulting space. He graduated in Industrial Engineering at Politechnic of Milan, Italy and joined McKinsey & Company in 1990. He then became part of BCG and AT Kearney, where he was elected Partner in 2000, youngest in Europe.

Co-founder of AlixPartners activities in Europe in 2003, he worked at European level in several industries, focusing on troubled Turn Around and Restructuring situations, where he also took interim leadership roles in several clients to lead them through the crisis.

In 2011, he joins Accenture as Managing Director, in charge of Supply Chain & Operations practice across Italy, Eastern Europe and Middle East, In the following years, he covers several leadership roles supporting his clients in major transformational projects, with focus on Industry 4.0, Procurement and Supply Chain.

In 2020, he starts getting involved in the VC ecosystem, also as private investor and in 2023 he moves to Dubai.

Giancarlo is Alumnus of Politechnic of Milan and has an MBA from INSEAD.

Andrea
Casati

VICE-PRESIDENT

Andrea has been at Growth Capital since its foundation, where he helped in building and developing the team and the culture.

Prior to joining Growth Capital, Andrea worked as an analyst at an investment bank in San Francisco, where he executed several capital increases (equity and debt) for US startups and SMEs, and held junior roles in private equity and equity research in Southern California.

Andrea holds a Master degree in Banking & Finance from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore of Milan and a certificate in Investment Management from UCLA Los Angeles.

In his spare time, Andrea enjoys reading (favorite book: Kafka on the Shore, The Count of Monte Cristo, The Master and Margarita) and collecting ukiyo-e. He is currently studying for the CFA and would love to learn programming (Python).

VICE PRESIDENT

Christian joined Growth Capital in January 2025, bringing international experience and a consolidated background in M&A. French and Colombian citizen, he has been living in Milan for over 8 years. He holds a MSc in Management with a major in Corporate Finance from IESEG School of Management in Paris, having completed an exchange year at Universidad Externado in Bogotá.

Christian began his career in Milan at Societe Generale CIB, before working at an Italian-Swiss multifamily office as a Private Equity Analyst, where he focused on the acquisition and management of several portfolio companies based in Europe. He then developed strong expertise in the tech sector at Klecha & Co., with a particular focus on Cybersecurity, Software, and Fintech verticals, holding the positions of Associate and Vice-President.

Passionate about geopolitics, tennis, and football (unlucky PSG fan), Christian enjoys debating any topic, from everything to nothing. In his free time, he enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Marco joined Growth Capital in February 2018. Here, he has been involved in numerous extraordinary finance operations for startups and scaleups in the Digital, eCommerce, and Brick and Mortar sectors, including Barberino’s, FABA, Freedome, HiNelson, Homepal, and VINO.COM.

Previously, he graduated with honors with a master's degree in Economics of Markets and Financial Intermediaries from the Catholic University of Sacred Heart in Milan, gaining study experiences at The Hague University of Applied Sciences, London School of Economics, and UC Irvine.

Marco has a strong passion for the world of innovation and has made investments in startups as a Business Angel. In his free time, Marco is an unwavering fan of Fiorentina and a good skier.

Giacomo graduated in Business Administration and Management from Bocconi University in Milan, after a semester of study abroad at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver and an internship in private equity in Milan. Subsequently, he obtained a master's degree in Accounting, Financial Management and Control from Bocconi University, complemented by a study experience in Maastricht, the Netherlands. Giacomo joined the Growth Capital team in January 2020 and has worked with startups in the BioTech, IoT, and Digital sectors, including Hyris, Kippy, and HiNelson.

A basketball and mountain enthusiast, when he's not on a motorcycle, you can find him in the Alps engaging in ski mountaineering or hiking.

After graduating in Law from Bocconi University, Alessandra worked in the Corporate & Equity Capital Markets department of a leading international law firm headquartered in Milan, assisting companies in daily activities, and she was involved in several extraordinary finance transactions. Curious about the interconnection between the worlds of law, finance and innovation, Alessandra joined Growth Capital team in September 2020 and is pursuing a second degree in Economics and Finance.

Alessandra is passionate about photography, travel, contemporary art and regularly performs volunteering activities.

IBERIA BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT AND EXPANSIÓN MANAGER

Born in Granada, Spain, Gloria's personal, academic, and professional development led her to live in Mexico, Australia, Cuba, and Switzerland. She graduated in Economics, Law, and Business Administration at Carlos III University in Madrid and earned an MBA in International Markets and Finance at CUNEF between London and Madrid.

Gloria started her professional journey in Investment Banking at Bankinter. Later, she joined the Lua Venture Capital Fund in Zurich, then Citi Bank in Madrid, and Toro Venture. Subsequently, she established her financial, strategic, and business development consulting firm, managing the work of over 10 professionals. Since January 2024, Gloria has joined the Growth Capital team in the Madrid office, supporting its business expansion in the Iberian region.

Passionate about skiing, horseback riding, playing tennis, reading historical novels and philosophy, and attending theater premieres, Gloria brings a diverse set of interests and experiences to our team.

Jesi Ferrari

Nicolò joined Growth Capital in July 2021. Following his bachelor's degree in International Economics and Management at Bocconi University, Nicolò graduated in MSc in Management (major Corporate Finance) at the same university, spending two semesters abroad, first in Boston (Boston College) and then in Paris (ESSEC Business School).

After two internship experiences in Private Banking and in an international startup accelerator, Nicolò joined Growth Capital, where he currently tracks the SmartCity and CleanTech sectors.

In his spare time, he enjoys drawing and painting, visiting museums, and traveling.

SENIOR ANALYST

Marco earned a BSc in Economics and Finance from Bocconi University with top honors, spending an exchange semester at Cass Business School in London. He was among the 5 students in his course to be selected for the Double Degree program in Finance at Bocconi University and the Stockholm School of Economics, a path he completed cum laude.

In Growth Capital since April 2021, Marco has gained experience in the Software and Digital sectors (working with startups such as Indigo.ai, Cosmico) and in VC market analysis as a member of the research team.

Passionate about classical literature and philosophy, Marco enjoys experimenting with new culinary creations and setting off to hot countries in his free time.

Edoardo graduated in Business Administration and Management at Bocconi University in Milan, after an exchange semester at Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, USA. Afterwards, at Bocconi University, he obtained a Master degree in Management completed with an experience in Private Equity.

After an experience in a primary M&A boutique in Milan where he participated to several transactions in the Automotive and Healthcare sectors, Edoardo joined the Growth Capital team in September 2021.

Edoardo is an enthusiastic cook and in his spare time he loves playing Golf and discovering and trying new cuisines and restaurants.

Elena obtained a Bachelor's degree in International Economics and Management from Bocconi University, spending a semester of study abroad at UCL in London. She completed her studies achieving a Master's Degree in Accounting, Financial Management and Control at Bocconi, after an internship experience as financial auditor at KPMG and one as a consultant at Bain&Company.

Elena joined the Growth Capital team in September 2022.

Passionate about volleyball and piano, in her spare time she enjoys traveling and attending concerts, clubs and restaurants with friends.

COMMUNICATION MANAGER

In Growth Capital since May 2021, Camilla has several experiences in communication, media relations, press office and social media.

Camilla graduated with honors in the Bachelor of Arts, Design and Entertainment and in the Master of Arts, Heritage and Markets at the University of Languages and Communication IULM in Milan.

Camilla is passionate about contemporary art, design and fashion. In her spare time she loves running, visiting museums, going to concerts, experiencing restaurants and the Riviera Romagnola.

Giacomo Montorfano

LEGAL COUNSEL

After earning a first bachelor’s degree in Business and Management at Bocconi University, he took a second degree in Law with a major in International Business and Financial Law.

Always fascinated by the VC ecosystem, Giacomo previously worked in the incubator B4i - Bocconi for Innovation and in a startup.

Giacomo joined the Growth Capital team in February 2022 and is now Legal Counsel, supporting startups in all stages of fundraising rounds and M&A transactions.

In his free time, he enjoys playing different sports and discovering the world.

ANALYST

Jerico, born in the Philippines and raised in Spain, is a graduate of Esade Business School in Barcelona, where he earned a degree in Global Governance, Economics, and Legal Order. He enriched his academic experience with a semester abroad at Singapore Management University, specializing in finance. Jerico’s academic achievements are complemented by diverse practical experience gained through internships in tech (Rebellion Pay, Wallbox Chargers, SaaS.group) and investment banking (Beka Finance, GP Bullhound, AZ Capital). In January 2024, Jerico joined Growth Capital.

Passionate about entrepreneurship, Jerico has initiated several projects in the education sector. He served as Co-President of his university’s innovation and entrepreneurship association, dedicated to fostering the entrepreneurial spirit among students. Additionally, Jerico serves as a Board Advisor for multiple associations, including Ennova Esade and Ennova UB and he holds the CFA in ESG Investing.

Jerico is an avid enthusiast of basketball, table tennis, and padel. When not traveling, he enjoys discovering hidden city spots and exploring new culinary experiences.

Bruno holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from LUISS Guido Carli, a double Master degree in Management (at LUISS Guido Carli and at the Nova School of Business and Economics in Lisbon) and a Master's degree in Applied Finance from Singapore Management University.

Bruno joined Growth Capital in January 2023, and previously, he completed a full-time internship at Vertex Holding, a venture capital fund network based in Singapore with assets under management exceeding $6 billion.

His educational and work experience increased his passion for the world of venture capital. He wants to engage in businesses that invest in or develop disruptive technologies that can benefit our planet and its communities.

María Lourdes, born in Buenos Aires Argentina, obtained a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Torcuato DiTella University, spending a semester of study abroad at UCL in London. She completed her studies achieving a Master’s Degree in Economics and Finance at HEC Paris. She previously worked in BNP Paribas’s Corporate and Institutional Banking division as a Coverage Analyst for the Buenos Aires branch and as a Global Multinational Corporations Trainee for the Paris office.

Lourdes joined the Growth Capital team in January 2024. Passionate about field hockey and crossfit, in her spare time, she enjoys traveling, reading, eating asados and spending time with friends.

Lorenzo holds a BSc in Economics & Finance from the Università Federico II di Napoli and a MSc in Banking & Finance from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore di Milano. During his stay at Cattolica, he attended a summer program at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), delving into macroeconomic issues. Before starting his university career, Lorenzo was a professional basketball player, fulfilling his dream of playing in the Serie A and in the Basketball Champions League. His work experiences at investment banks like HSBC and Morgan Stanley led him to become very passionate about innovation and technological progress, as well as companies that could develop ideas impacting people's lives positively.

He joined the Growth Capital team in January 2025 as an Analyst.

Vincenzo earned his Bachelor's Degree in International Business Administration from the University Parthenope of Naples, where he graduated with honors and participated in an Erasmus program in Spain. He furthered his education with an MSc Double Degree in Banking and Finance from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan and in International Financial Management from the University of Groningen in the Netherlands, again graduating with honors.

During his time in the Netherlands, Vincenzo began his career as an analyst at an accelerator and venture capital fund in Amsterdam. In this role, he coordinated the fundraising process for five startups and invested in B2B software companies across Europe. In January 2024, Vincenzo joined the Growth Capital team.

Passionate about motorsport since childhood, he enjoys traveling and cooking for his friends and family in his free time. He is also an avid reader of economics and finance books.

JUNIOR COMMUNICATION STRATEGIST

Zoe joined the Growth Capital team in March 2024. Born and raised in the US, she graduated with a double bachelors degree in Politics and Media Studies from the University of Virginia. Since moving to Milan, she has studied at the University of Languages and Communication IULM where she is completing a masters in Strategic Communications with a specialization in Sustainability Communications.

Her prior experience involves communications in a variety of contexts: for political campaigns, an environmental consulting firm, and as a court reporter.

Outside of work, Zoe enjoys pilates, hiking, trying out new recipes, critiquing the latest Emmy nominees, and staying up to date on world politics.
